WHITE-GRIFFIN Family Tree (Julie's
parent's tree)
Shows the ancestors of John Sampson White and Dorothy Grace Griffin, including
some of their siblings.
Penna-Lovell Subtree
Shows all of the siblings of the direct line shown in the WHITE-GRIFFIN tree -
mostly Pennas and Lovells - including their spouses and children.
GABB-ERREY Family Tree (Andrew's parent's
tree)
Shows the ancestors of Sesom Gabb and Winifred Errey, including some of their
siblings.
Errey-Prior Subtree
Shows most of the descendants of John Errey & Jemima Russell, and James
Prior & Jenefer Beale, and their spouses. A supplementary subtree to
GABB-ERREY.
Hobbs-Smith Subtree
Shows most of the descendants of Enoch Hobbs & Jane Barnfield, and Edward
Smith & Mary Dunk, and their spouses. A supplementary subtree to
GABB-ERREY.
Subtrees. The use of subtrees fragments the family tree, I know, but I find it very useful for managing the trees and their underlying information. Overall, the main trees provide a good overview of heritage for our descendants, and the subtrees supplement this information by providing additional family context. In particular, this means that the main trees are not too forbidding for our descendants who, additionally at least, will start by asking themselves 'Where did I come from?'.
I initially started the subtrees because I found that in many cases, researching individuals demanded a relatively detailed understanding of the lives of their siblings. Having done the hard yards, I decided to publish the subtree partly to record the results of the research, and partly to provide the additional info to other researchers.
