Notes:

The name on the BC and MC shows his name as 'John Sampson Williams', indicating illegitimacy, as does the 'Fil.Null.' (no father) on his MC.

His parents married in 1832, some 11 years after his birth. At this stage John apparently assumed his father's surname, and became effectively 'John Sampson Sampson'.

Detailed analysis is difficult because Williams and Sampson are probably the 2 most common surnames in the area.
